My COVID-19 app has just notified me with a red countdown timer saying I need to SI for 2 days!
Does that mean I was in contact with someone who tested positive around the 20th December?
I've only been to the supermarket and have no symptoms but I'll do as the app says, of course

Yes if it says only to isolate for 2 days then the encounter date will have been 20th. I had one through on Xmas day saying to isolate for 5 days if you go on the App, and About this app, then Manage My Data you will be able to see when the date of potential contact was.
