Household isolation rules

Mother in law who lives with us tested positive on Christmas eve so we all isolate for 10 days.

DD had a temp this evening so getting tested in the morning.

If she's positive does the household 10 days then reset or is that just for her? I've seen the infographic but doesnt make sense to me.

And if for example I then go on to get a positive test a few days after, does the 10 day isolation reset again for us all again?

No the isolation doesn't reset if each person is getting symptoms within 10 days of the first person getting symptoms. Each person that gets symptoms and tests positive gets their own 10 day isolation.

Mil - 10 day isolation from symptoms starting
The rest of household also isolates for 10 days

If your dd tests positive then she gets her own 10 day isolation while the household carries on with the original 10 day isolation.

If you then get symptoms/test positive in the original 10 day period then you get your 10 days isolation and the rest of the household can end isolation once the original 10 day period has ended.
