COVID App- told to self-isolate

My sister has had an alert on her app telling her to self-isolate for 2 days. She’s trying to rack her brains to work out who she has been in contact with. She is working from home and has only been out on a couple of occasions to the post office and to M&S for a quick shop for food.
How long ago would her potential contact have been if she only has to isolate for 2 days?
She feels well but is now panicking that she might have infected someone because she didn’t know. I’ve told her not to worry, with only 2 days left to isolate she would be showing symptoms by now surely.

Probably 8 days ago?

dementedpixie · 27/12/2020 21:37

Its 10 day isolation so contact would be 8 days ago. There's a bit on the app that shows when contacts were made

I think it’s ridiculous that people only see this alert if they go on to the app.

Thank you. She got a notification on her phone. Where can she check on the app?

I've had similar and can't think who I've been in contact with. Except I did t know until I accidentally opened the app. I was quite shocked

I've just had the same. Go to 'about this app' then 'manage my data'. It will show exposure date

Monkey1111 · 27/12/2020 21:54

Thanks @unicornparty I will pass that on to her. She’s really shocked because she has been so careful.
