Common symptoms in young children?

Hi, my little girl has a high temp, feeling bit sorry for herself but when calpol kicks in she’s fine (until it wears off). Her ears have been going bright red and she says they hurt. Not sure if it’s ear infection or Covid???
We have got her tested today but not sure where she could have caught it. We’ve been home since the 18th Dec and not seen anyone else?
Anyway - did any of your young ones have Covid but just a temp.? And how long did it take to go away? Also did you as parents catch it as well?

Our toddler caught it from her primary aged brother. She tested positive 5 days after me, dh and ds did. She’s had a temperature as her main symptom but one episode of vomiting too, and some bad nappies.

My DD4 caught it from primary school, she had a very weird bright red rash on her chin day 1, runny nose started day 2, then the big one which were her stomach pains (not ache - PAINS) started day 3. I had a weird hunch as none of it was right so got her tested and she came back positive that night. She developed a mild cough a few days later, we are 11 days on from this now and her cough took a turn for the worst 2 days ago and she’s now on antibiotics as a precaution while we keep a close eye on her. Her sisters (7) symtoms started 2 days after she tested positive, her stomach pains were much worse, she was bent double for 3 days, she never developed a cough. I had stomach cramps a week ago but nothing else. DH was fine. It’s all bloody weird and symtoms are all over the place. For us it was very much stomach related.

apparently children at my nursery who caught it showed no symptoms apart from complaining of tummy ache and a headache

My younger two had sore throat, slight temp, tummy ache and head ache.
