Watching with interest, im day 8 and still struggling. I have a physical and stressfull job i am dreading going back

It is really variable. What I would urge you is to not push yourself too much in these early days as it is really easy to set yourself back. So if you are a runner, or a cyclist, or usually go to the gym 5 times a week - just dont.

The symptoms lasted about 10 days but I didn’t feel right for about 2 months after - tired, sometimes a little dizzy, just generally not feeling 100%. It’s now 4 months later and all good now.

I'm in the "I assume I had it in March" category.
I was on my arse for a couple of weeks including 3 days in bed (2 small children, so seriously incapacitated or I would have pushed on), back to normal after 3. I'm over 40 and obese.

I had it November 4th. I had no respiratory symptoms, just the weird brain stuff and very tired. Returned to work on 16th nov. I resumed my running/fitness as soon as I returned to work but I have found it harder I guess, and in November didn't do as much as normal. I was still feeling tired and a bit frazzled in early December. I've been much better since school broke up and we've had a few lazy days this week which had helped.
My appetite is still weird and I'm looking very thin, I still get fuzzy head/brain fog especially if I've been concentrating hard, and I still get a mild headache some days.
I get a definite 'relapse' in symptoms when my period is due (weird I know, but actually is being recognised more) and this month the day before I came on I could barely move with cramps/leg pain.

ValancyRedfern · 27/12/2020 08:49

It varies so much. I tested positive the same day as you and haven't felt ill at all. I hope you feel better soon.

I'm watching this thread with interest. Still self isolating from +tve result. Extremely tired, achey, no taste or smell and last few days anxious. My job is mentally taxing and today I couldn't remember where we keep our bowls in the kitchen. No idea how I'll get back to work after Christmas hols.

I felt beyond exhausted for 4 days. And that’s saying a lot for me as I have a baby who is up 4/5 times a night so exhausted is my usual state 😂 the first 5 days, I felt fine bar congested & warm (but no actual fever). On day 10, I forced myself off the sofa & for a walk & playing with my 3 year old & day 11 I spent the day walking around an ‘enchanted forest‘ & it’s illuminations. I’ve been completely fine ever since. My OH was identical.. fine initially, wiped out for 4/5 days then has felt normal ever since. Recon we’re lucky, we didn’t lose our taste or smell or have fevers etc.. it was really mild all things considered!

HairyFloppins · 27/12/2020 18:18

DH started with symptoms on the 8th Dec. He was hospitalised for a few days. He is still absolutely drained now and will need more time off work.

I got it at the same time and still feel a bit tired but not too bad.

balloon27 · 27/12/2020 18:23

I went to Asda today wasn't there long and been on the sofa since I came home absolutely drained and aching all over! Shocked how much it's taken it out of me as I only had a mild dose , Hope everyone's feeling better soon xx
