So I’m NI but I think the guidance is the same across the UK.

Anyone not able to return to wor after the Christmas hols? I’m a teacher and just went back in September but it feels different now with the new strain and also how close we are to a vaccine.

A relative who is in the same boat as you but in UK was told they were expected back after Christmas - this was on the day that Boris plunged much of the country into tier 4. She had been working from home from the period of the second lockdown and expected she would be able to stay at home as the situation has deteriorated rather than improving.

She's trying not to panic but is understandably very concerned. Occupational health have been very supportive and I think should push come to shove will support her being signed off. It's still an awful situation to have hanging over you over Christmas.
