Where I work (as a teacher). 700.

movingonup20 · 29/12/2020 09:50

188 - put back to tier 3 yet there's places higher in tier 2

movingonup20 · 29/12/2020 09:52

But my town is 42/100k, it's another big town the other end of the county pushing up the average due to a care home outbreak

Toastybutt · 29/12/2020 09:58

740 two weeks ago, so the end of term. It was really starting to bite in schools near me. Who knows now but the Zoe app says cases have continued to rise.

Splodgetastic · 29/12/2020 10:31

Over 1,000 per 100,000 - yikes!

SabrinaTheMiddleAgedBitch · 29/12/2020 10:36

176 - Sunderland, Tyne and Wear. So doing much better than some places currently but we have been in Tier 3 for what feels like forever now

BiggerTallerFaster · 29/12/2020 10:38

These rates are scary, ours is close to 1500/100k but that means 1.5 % of people are currently affected and that's only the ones who have symptoms and a test.

Surely after a few weeks of these kinds of rates we must be getting close to the fabled herd immunity?

DBML · 29/12/2020 11:08

At least it’s coming down a bit over the holidays.

Figures have now been updated. 730 now, was 614 before.

Aberforthsgoat · 29/12/2020 13:48

I’m in Essex. Our figures have gone up again to 829 :( they just keep climbing and climbing and I’m sure they are going to get worse after the Christmas mixing

Crunchymum · 29/12/2020 14:11

Ours is now 634 (from 619) so not a massive leap?

Still increasing though!

Isle of Wight at 212 per 100k now. Was only 23 a week or so ago.

That said, our average is being pulled up by Cowes which has had a cluster of 40 odd cases due to yacht clubs and commuters.

Purplethrow · 29/12/2020 18:40

Aberforthsgoat Essex here too Sad

Petitmum · 29/12/2020 18:49

South Wales - my county is currently 653 per 100,000

DrunkenKoala · 29/12/2020 18:54
  1. Medway, Kent. We seemed to have peaked and now we’re falling which is a relief. See what happens when the schools go back.
