NHS app - self isolate but no notification

Earlier I went into the NHS app to check that it had updated to show the change to Tier 4 overnight and there was something telling me to self isolate for 3 days.

Why has it not sent me a notification? Is this genuine? What if I hadn't clicked into the app? I'd never have seen this. Shouldn't I have been isolating before today if there are only 3 days left to isolate?

Not heard anything from track and trace.

This is happening a lot. Perhaps your settings don't allow notifications? Or perhaps the contact had a very slow test result?

Dm had a six day one. She only saw it when she went to the app to check in at a cafe.

So what day would I have been in contact with the positive person if it's telling me to isolate today for 3 days?

If you go into the About this App part and then into Manage my data, you will see the date where you encountered the covid positive person and also the date the app notified you

Ok thanks. So it's not an app error even though it didn't give me a notification?

The app and T&T are completely seperate.

The app means someone your phone qas next to for at least 15mins has entered a positive result which has triggered the isolation.

App isn't legally enforceable so work out who you could have been in close contact with

So does it mean I was in contact with someone on the 19th (Saturday?) if its saying 3 days left to isolate?

I would say 17th but as a PP said you can find out in 'about this app'
