Extend isolation?

I tested positive a week ago. DH tested negative but has come down with flu symptoms last night. Does DS need to extend his isolation now as he could pick it up from DH?

Check with track and trace but i dont think so, unless he develops symptoms

Lifeispassingby · 25/12/2020 17:48

I’m sure the isolation goes from the first positive person so that would be you. DHs isolation starts from his symptoms but everyone else goes for your 10days

MadeForThis · 25/12/2020 17:57

Nope. Original 10 days counts for everyone. Except DH who starts a new 10 days from when the symptoms started.

Thank you

But, if your DS goes on to get symptoms, be has to do his 10 days from that point, even if he's been out of isolation in the meantime.

DS won't be going too far anyway. He came down with chicken pox yesterday. I was just wondering as someone had asked and I didn't know.

Has your dh had chicken pox? Worth being alert in case it is that rather than covid.

minnie465 · 25/12/2020 20:52

Yeah he's had them as a child
