Friend all alone

My friend has covid. Her boyfriend who she lives with has covid. He's now in hospital and really very sick. Both are mid 30s.

She's all alone, poorly and scared. I want to cuddle her and help her. I'm a couple of hours away so can't do anything. I'm just so sad for her

I read that 8 million people are alone for Christmas in the UK alone this year. There's not much you can do but call her...

Not surprised she'sscared. So awful you can't just go and see her.

We were meant to be having my Mum for just a couple of hours, she was going to distance in the extension. DH now isolating so she'll be totally on her own throughout Christmas. I left some food shopping and presents on her doorstep yesterday, so at least she has those. Hoping she gets out for a walk today as it's dry.

Ring her for a chat to keep her company.
