I cannot believe people can be so cruel. I received this earlier inviting me for my vaccination. It leads to a phishing website

Is that on WhatsApp? Sorry but anyone who thinks the NHS would WhatsApp them and would fall for that are clearly inept with tech and probably shouldn’t have access to a phone unattended

Thanks for the warning MissMessy12. Some people are the lowest of the low.

@Vitaminsss genuine question what’s the difference between a text and WhatsApp? The nhs use text messages and most people I know use WhatsApp instead of/literally the same as texting. For eg I have been with my partner four years and I have never sent him a text, we just WhatsApp. Not sure elderly people who use the messenger service would know the difference.

Anyway, your reply was cunty. Have a shit Christmas.

Why the hell would the NHS add everyone on Whatsapp to send them a message? It's not the same as texting.

starfish88 · 25/12/2020 18:51

A lot of elderly people I know probably wouldn't understand that difference and they would be the most likely to be taken in by this as they know they will be the first to be vaccinated.

@12frogsincoats what does ‘add’ people on WhatsApp even mean though? It’s not like fb where you send out friends requests.
It’s just a messenger service (and tbh, I’m 32 and it’s the messenger service the vast majority of my friends use over text messenger / I can’t remember the last time anyone sent me a text).
