Support / childcare bubbles

Sorry for another bubble thread but I can't seem to find the guidance on this.

We are currently in a support bubble with my parents ( child under one) which effectively makes us one household from what I can read on the gov website. We have been exclusively in this bubble since December 2nd when they came in.

My question is in January should they be required to can my parents also be a childcare bubble for my brothers DD as this is a separate bubble or is this not allowed as they are already in a support bubble .

We very much hope it won't be needed as we are trying to limit contact as much as possible but it may heavily depend on what the schools will do so we just wondered .

Yes they can, they can have one of each type. But in a childcare bubble the adults can’t mix so they will only be able to look after the kids, not see your brother.

You can have both a childcare bubble and a support bubble.

The childcare one needs to specifically just be for those purposes though.

Fab thank you! That's really helpful ! Yes totally aware it's only for childcare not socialising
