I tested positive for covid last Saturday. Very mild symptoms so far.
Rang my specialist nurse today as I am due to have my 8 weekly biological infusion next week.
She said that I won't be allowed to reschedule my infusion until I have a negative swab. I replied that is ridiculous as it has been proven that ppl can continue to test positive for up to 3 months following a positive.
Feeling very worried now that I will be refused my treatment and I will end up flaring.
Any advice?

Guidelines recommend waiting 2 weeks before getting infusion following positive covid test

I would retest when it's time, if it comes back positive then I would raise concerns. Hopefully you won't have to cross that bridge.

Sorry should have clarified...the reason given for needing the negative test is that I might carry covid in to the unit where the patients receive their treatment.
