Hairdresser &contact tracing

I’m in the north east. Had a hair appointment on Monday. 3 hairdressers in salon but only mine on one side, the other 2 across the room.

The other 2 hairdressers have been contacted on the app to say a confirmed case was present Monday. Neither me nor my hairdresser have received a text or notification.

Does this seem normal? I would’ve been more than 2 metres away at all times but spent a couple of hours there. Would you isolate anyway?

The case was probably not in when you were and that's why you haven't been alerted

I’m hoping that but my hairdresser was there from 9am-7pm so definitely would’ve been on the premises when the positive case was

The app measures distance between the phones so if they weren't within 2 metres for a long enough period of time then they wouldn't be a contact. And if you weren't in at the same time then you wouldn't be a contact either

Even if your hairdresser caught it I don’t think she would be contagious the same day she was infected (could be wrong but seems very unlikely it could work that fast)
