Anyone had these symptoms?

(Re doing an earlier thread in a better composed way, as I was trying to gauge if people had similar experiences and explain bit more why I think I've got it). I wasn't able to get a test as I was told to get a test it must be done within 5 days and with a cough, temp, and or loss of taste and smell, but to follow the 10 day isolation from symptoms starting anyway. (I held off contacting 111/gp as family were saying it can't be covid if its not the 3 main symptoms, even though lots of people haven't had temps etc).

I had the same symptoms on the same time line as my friend who did get tested positive and her symptoms started a day before mine. I was just wondering if anyone else has had these symptoms?

Started with body aches, then a mild sore throat and a few coughs as if to clear throat, not really anything you may class as persistent. By day 5 vertigo hit badly, followed by nausea, diarrhea and palpitations. (Day 6 felt the worst). I would say over that week had a sinusy weird kind of feeling in head, but no headaches or ear ache. on day 9 and feeling a bit better but dizziness and tiredness is persisting, still some palpitations. Sleep has been disturbed the past few days. Throughout the week temperature has been normal.

Has this been similar to anyone else? I've been reading a lot about many people having similar things of not having the main symptoms and testing positive. The reason I think it is highly likely it is covid not a different virus is because my stepsons stepdad tested positive for covid over the weekend (we had stepson over before we both showed symptoms, mine a few days before his). That's what prompted me to call gp, then today I found out my friends situation with her symptoms matching mine.

I had these symptoms a few weeks ago (sore throat, gastric issues/urgent need to poo, and a few episodes of dizziness). However, I have no idea if it was covid or not. I didn’t feel ill but the dizziness freaked me out quite a bit. I put it down to dehydration on the basis I’m pretty certain I had covid back in March (not tested but completely lost sense of smell and taste) and so it would have been unlucky for me to have had it again. Saying that, I have two young kids so you never know. I feel absolutely fine now whatever it was, and hope you feel better soon too.

I've been feeling tired and dizzy. Due to very high anxiety recently, I rang the testing centre. But due to lack of 'normal' symptoms, and tests being rationed, I'm obviously not entitled to one.
In my case, actually I deep down think it is unlikely I have it. I was getting paranoid. I've not been told to isolate.
But, nonetheless, I'm glad that, apart from the odd outdoor distanced walk, I won't be seeing any other humans for the next five days, nor have I for the last three, which puts my mind at rest. In the unlikely event that I do have it. There's no chance of me passing it on.
Anyway, re you OP. I hope you feel better soon

Very similar here, covid positive. Its time they expanded the list of symtoms

Scottishskifun · 22/12/2020 22:46

Download the zoe covid symptoms app it has way more discovered symptoms than the main 3. It was actually them who got loss of smell/taste recognised as a symptom in the UK

Apple1971 · 22/12/2020 22:49

Almost identical symptoms to mine - I tested positive a week ago.

Only additional symptom I have is totally loss of smell on day 8 onwards.
I only got tested as I had a cough on Sunday which disappeared then started again Monday morning when I was driving to work. Turned round and went back home and got a test which was positive.

Springb0ks · 22/12/2020 22:54

I'm on day 5. Tested day 2 and was positive. I only tested as had funny aches and pains and work in a school. Had no main symptoms until day 5 and now have a cough.

Cherryrainbow · 22/12/2020 22:55

I know quite a few people now who said they had to lie about their symptoms to get a test and have had positive results. Some people from work said they felt like they had a hangover. Because its rife in the work place anyone who hasn't felt well has tried to get a test. My friend tested positive for the new strain I believe. I wish I'd known about the zoe app! Too late now for a test but I am touch wood getting on the mend and we are staying home not seeing anyone. Luckily no one else in my household has the symptoms or ill.

Both my parents had much the same symptoms as you. No coughs or temperature.

Piglet208 · 22/12/2020 23:02

I had a positive COVID test. My symptoms were a tickly cough, sore throat. Next a headache started which I still have 3 weeks later and my sinuses hurt. Never had a temperature.

minnie465 · 22/12/2020 23:07

I tested positive with severe diarrhoea and a sore throat. Felt a bit light headed too.
Cough has only started today, day 5. And I feel like I have a head cold.

minnie465 · 22/12/2020 23:08

Forgot to say my temp sometimes runs slightly higher than normal, but not high enough to be considered a fever

Waterlemon · 22/12/2020 23:12

The Zoe app offered me a test after I logged diarrroah and a headache, they said they were currently exploring other symptoms and groups of symptoms that seem to occur together.

My test was negative. The app is still worth downloading. You don’t have to log your symptoms every day but it does have useful data on covid rates In your local area.

HPLikecraft · 22/12/2020 23:16

Tested positive.
No coughing or fever, but very sore throat, sinuses, headache, tired, general malaise, nausea, achey and tingly muscles. Got off very lightly.

Fit, young adult daughter however has had my symptoms but worse and sorer; and with fever, bad tonsils and inflamed liver too.

UndertheCedartree · 22/12/2020 23:19

I had really bad dizziness when I had Covid. Mine started with a sore throat too. I had a bit of a cough but not that bad. My temperature would spike then be ok for a couple of days then spike again. I had extreme tiredness and headaches. At one point it was like I felt it move into my lungs. I had burning in my lungs and breathlessness and palpitations.

time4anothername · 22/12/2020 23:27

hearing about dizziness, vertigo a lot.

www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7492824/
" Countless studies, emerging daily from various parts of the world, have revealed dizziness as one of the main clinical manifestation of COVID-19. This is not surprising as dizziness has historically been associated with viral infections."

Cherryrainbow · 23/12/2020 16:56

Very interesting hearing of similar cases! Hope everyone is well and gets better soon if you are ill atm x

I started with dizziness this morning. My temp is slightly up and I have lost my sense of taste. I've been tested this afternoon and await results.
