My 3yo has just tested positive. He is fine in himself, just has a slight cough.
My husband has a heart condition and has started feeling very achey. He went for a test this morning and is now in bed.
I also have a newborn who is pooing a bit more and maybe more lethargic, I'm not sure.
There seems to be very little NHS advice online for what do re caring for small children with COVID. Can anyone advise? I'm basically trying to keep the 3yo away from the baby, have open windows and encouraging lots of handwashing.
I'm quite scared for my little family.

How are you getting on?

There isn't much you can do, other than what you've already thought of

Obviously, your hubby is different but we’ve just had it - a household with a 3 year old & 9 month old. 3 year old potentially had it. Was very lethargic for a couple days & grumpy as hell but couldn’t tell us what was wrong. She also complained of stomach ache for a few days during this time which could be covid also. We didn’t test her as she’s traumatised from the last one we did 😫 9 month old did have it, was like a heavy cold. Very hot & bothered & snotty for a couple days. Both right as rain on day 3! It was us who felt pretty rough for a few days & had to try look after two children 🙈 but we also had it very mildly. We aren’t vulnerable though.

Sending a hug & handhold over this period. I hope your husband is OK, it must be very worrying when vulnerable. 🧡

Thank you both! @NiceViper My husband has tested positive and has a fever but seems okay. The 3yo seems right as rain (blessing and a curse... trying to socially distance from an energetic toddler who hasn't learn to cough with hand over mouth 100% yet!) and the baby too. @MoirasRoses its really reassuring to hear of others who have had it with mild symptoms. Fingers crossed!
