Self isolation

Has anyone managed to isolate a 3 year old. Dgs childminder and son have tested positive today and the sons symptoms began last Thursday when dgs was at the childminder. Dd knows she has to isolate dgs and is in fact getting him tested today as he has a cough - if he has COVID we are likely infected to as I did childcare on Saturday so we will be isolating as well.

I imagine thousands of 3yo have managed isolation. You just don't go outside with them. Or do you mean isolated within the household? If so - no, that would be cruel.
