App Notification - Self Isolation period

InterfectoremVulpes · 22/12/2020 07:13

I had a notification on my app this morning to tell me I need to self-isolate for 6 days.

I thought the isolation period was 10 days?

I believe it's 10 days from last contact, factor in the time it takes to have symptoms and then get the positive then 6 days makes sense.

InterfectoremVulpes · 22/12/2020 07:23

Is there any way so see when the positive encounter took place?

Yes. You go to About this app. Then Manage my data and then there's an option under there.

jackstini · 22/12/2020 07:28

Yes we got one yesterday for dd specifying 8 days

I dont look to have that option.

I'm just wondering when I've been around another person long enough to be at risk.

I guess my daughter won't be able to go to nursery now 😰

Can someone else take your daughter to nursery?
She does not have to isolate, but you can't leave the house now until 27th

InterfectoremVulpes · 22/12/2020 07:48

My husband could, but how is it logical she can go considering we are always in close contact!

@InterfectoremVulpes I think the information is in Google settings for some people. I'll check my phone, as it was somewhere unexpected.

picklemewalnuts · 22/12/2020 08:00

Settings and then Google, there you see the Covid stuff.

It's ok for your husband as he wasn't exposed to the contact, just to you. You haven't got any symptoms yet. It's possible you are asymptomatic but it's more likely you don't have it. If you have developed it, he's later in the cycle than you, so probably not infectious yet.

The system isn't foolproof, it's about probabilities. He's probably ok.

InterfectoremVulpes · 22/12/2020 08:05

Ive got this screen?

The irony is my husband went for a test on Sunday (which came back negative) as he was having symptoms 🤣

So I have to basically keep away from my family for the next 6 days? oh well...
