So got the call that a kid in my class (I'm a TA) tested positive on Saturday - was last in school on Thursday. Bubble burst over Christmas - wonderful!

However, today I've developed a scratchy sore throat (very mild), a slight headache and have been very, very tired. Does this sound like it could be COVID? I've no temperature, no cough. I don't have a sense of smell anyway (born without it) so that doesn't help me.

Im quite worried as I have the potential to be very ill with this thing due to age, weight and some underlying auto-immune issues.

My father in law tested positive today after having a slight scratchy throat and the shivers on Saturday. He tested but felt 100% back to normal yesterday. We were all shocked when it was positive.

I'd test to put your mind at ease quite honestly. Especially if you're mixing at Christmas.

I hope it's nothing though, fingers crossed x

Thanks! Luckily we'd already cancelled my mum at Christmas because of both me and dd being in school until Friday. It just didn't seem worth the risk. Can't mix anyway as officially self-isolating.

Might test if symptoms persist though. I can always say I've got no sense of smell!

Well my symptoms have not progressed but are still there. The Zoe app invited me for a test so I went this morning. So we shall have to wait and see.

Good luck! I've had a scratchy throat all week but my test was negative so you may be lucky!

My COVID test has just come back - negative thankfully!
