Posted on an earlier thread but didn't really get an answer.
This screen shot is from a member of staff in the team that I manage.
The 11 days bit seems a bit shady, they've just informed me they'll be off now until the new year.

Thank you all!

I'm unsure of the circumstances. They weren't contacted by test and trace, just noticed the message on their app when they opened it.

Looking at images people have changed to commit fraud is part of my job. You'd be amazed how hrd it is to make things look genuine. It looks fine to me.

OpposableThumbs2 · 20/12/2020 21:24

So pleased I read this. Mine kicked in at 8 days so I assumed the contact had been two days earlier. Now looked at the data to find it was six days earlier so I will be released on Xmas eve rather than the 27th. Doesn't mean a great deal as I am in tier 4 but at least I can go for a walk.

FrankieFrankFrank · 20/12/2020 21:33

When they changed it from 14 to 10 days, the starting day (symptom, positive test or exposure) became day zero, not day 1, so potentially could be 11 days if they have just found out...

BobsYerUnclee · 21/12/2020 11:09

It doesn't look fake.

The text all matches. If they'd photoshopped it the numbers would likely be a vector (solid shape) and they aren't, as you can see the edges are pixelated.

raviolidreaming · 21/12/2020 11:34

I hope people remember this thread next time someone is worried their employer won't believe them 😕

Trying81 · 21/12/2020 11:38

We want for tests last night, OH app then changed to show self isolate for 11 days - we’re confused too as thought was 10 now, hoping for negative tests but I feel like I’ve been hit by a bus

snookercue · 21/12/2020 11:38

You should get this taken down immediately. It may not have identifiable details in it but it has been sent to you privately in a professional context. How dare you share this online Angry

soworried321 · 21/12/2020 11:54

There is absolutely nothing identifiable on this image at all, it could be regarding tens of thousands of people country wide.
The person it's regarding is the worlds biggest prankster, so wouldn't put it past them that they were having us on.
There was no call into work, just this screenshot.
The 11 days part of the screenshot threw me.
I've not mentioned anything to the staff member about me thinking it might be photo shopped, I'll just await the official self isolation letter.

I know. I said that in my post. You still have absolutely no right whatsoever to post something your staff member has sent to you in a professional capacity. Its way out of line.

Calm down snooker! It's got absolutely nothing identifiable on it.

Perfectly calm, thanks. I'm not sure why you are telling me there was nothing identifiable on it though? I said that in my post. In fact I have said it twice now. Identifying details are irrelevant. OP is in a senior position and should not be sharing this at all.

EdwardCullensBiteOnTheSide · 21/12/2020 15:10

Right, and why does it matter if its anonymous? I would agree if there was a possibility of the person in question being identified, but there isn't!

It's not about identifying people. It's about professional integrity.

RugsEverywhere · 21/12/2020 16:15

Could be real but not your employees

Covidrelapse · 21/12/2020 18:03

Did you get the letter @soworried321? FYI they come through automatically when requested

SofiaMichelle · 21/12/2020 18:08

I've never read such nonsense @snookercue

Utter tripe.

Uptide · 21/12/2020 18:08

There's always one.

I would rather be that 'one' than someone who lacked the ability to act appropriately.

If there was any way that anyone could be identified from the post, I would agree with you.

There isn't.

It's not about identifying people. It's professional integrity that is my issue. Maybe people who are so keen to point out in wrong don't really understand what that is🤷🏻‍♀️

Posted too soon,

All kinds of employment questions are asked all over the internet every day, do you think that this is wrong? Is your issue you with asking for anonymous advice on work related matters in general? The hive mind can be a very valuable resource in this type of situation imo and there's next to no chance of the employee recognising themselves, in fact on the other thread the OP says it's a friend so who knows which is the truth
