Anyone in Tier 4 & heard about new care home regulations from PHE?
I'm guessing everything will be cancelled for the foreseeable (even if both family & care home are in Tier 4).
The home is waiting for guidance from PHE but I was wondering if anyone else with family in care homes in Tier 4 had heard anything.

Not yet. We had been told we were allowed to take my relative out on Xmas day which we were so excited about but am just assuming this will be cancelled and we won’t be able to visit.

I'm thinking I need to get a Skype call booked asap...

Not heard anything yet either. Was meant to be visiting Xmas day using a Covid secure visit room. Highly likely to be cancelled I would have thought ☹️

I'm in tier 4, work in a care home. We've spent 2 months building an outhouse so that relatives could visit over Christmas, sadly now we will not be allowed. Its so upsetting as staff, we want our residents to see their family but due to the local increase we've been told by PHE that it isn't safe enough to go ahead with them.

Just heard from boss that they're having a meeting today with regard to visits possibly still happening outside, the information on the gov website about care homes states visits are allowed outside, even in tier 4. Hope this helps x
