Hi all, had a covid test Friday after a slight loss of taste and a bad throat.

I woke up this morning disappointed I had no text but checked my email and a negative result come through at 11pm. But no text to go with it. Normal? When Ds had a test this week text and email come through at the same time.

Also, I didn’t put my nhs number in the booking as I didn’t know it. But on my email it gives an nhs number. I’m not even sure if it’s correct. How do they know it if I didn’t put it in? I didn’t put DS’s nhs number in either and it didn’t list it on email.

Worried they have me mixed with someone else!

It's usually there with in 36 hours. Hang in there

Oh sorry I misunderstood- you have a negative

The result always comes through on text later. We've had four tests as a family (toddler in nursery) and this is always the case

Texts have sometimes been later for us (I think we've done 14 tests now, small children and part of a study)

I have just checked and my latest result email had my nhs number on it but I didn't give it too.

Thank you all! DS’s text and email came through same time but after some Googling I’ve learnt there can be a delay. Also, I’ve looked up my nhs number (waking the kids up in the process) and it’s indeed correct. They must look it up. They did not for DS. Maybe it’s just for adults?

I've just checked my emails and texts and there was no accompanying NHS number. I wonder why some have it and some don't?

Bizarre @JellyTots2009. I’m glad the nhs number is correct else I may have panicked. Lucky I find a hospital letter with it on! Need to make a note if it for future reference!
