You only need to get tested if you have any symptoms. Where did you meet her and for how long were you with her?

SnoozyBoozy · 19/12/2020 23:07

I think you need to self isolate if you've been in contact with her, but you only need to get a test if you get symptoms yourself.

Sway19 · 19/12/2020 23:08

You need to self-isolate but only get tested if you display symptoms

Newpuppymummy · 19/12/2020 23:10

You only need to self isolate if you saw her in the 48 hour period before she developed symptoms according to regulations

QueenieButcher · 19/12/2020 23:10

In schools, we've been told you only need to self isolate if have had contact up to 48 hours before start of symptoms.

QueenieButcher · 19/12/2020 23:11

Ah x-post!

paranoiamumma · 19/12/2020 23:11

When I was tested positive we were told anyone I saw 48hrs before my symptoms had to isolate if that helps at all .

dementedpixie · 19/12/2020 23:13

If you had contact in the 48 hours before symptoms started then you would isolate. (But you didn't so you don't need to isolate)

You only get a test if you get symptoms

No you're fine, its 48 hrs before symptoms that's the contagious time so you didnt see her Tuesday or Wednesday so you're fine.

StatisticalSense · 20/12/2020 00:01

If she developed the first symptoms on Thursday morning only those who saw her on or after Tuesday morning need to isolate (and still shouldn't get tested unless they have symptoms). As you neither saw her during that period or have symptoms you can continue to follow the rules that apply to the general public in the area that you live.
