Clarifying Support Bubbles over Christmas

I’m from a Tier 2, my support bubble is now in Tier 4.
Can I travel to them on Xmas Day?

As far as I understand, support bubbles are unaffected.

Yes. This is what the guidance says:

"Travelling to a tier 4 area from a tier 1, 2 or 3 area
You should not travel into a Tier 4 area from another part of the UK, other than for reasons such as:

travel to work where you cannot work from home
travel to education and for caring responsibilities
to visit those in your support bubble - or your childcare bubble for childcare
to attend hospital, GP and other medical appointments or visits where you have had an accident or are concerned about your health"

It looks like the rule about not travelling into a Tier 4 area is only guidance anyway and won't be in law.

The guidance also says specifically that a person in Tier 4 may leave a Tier 4 area to visit their support bubble.

Perfect thank you. Got myself so confused reading all the different news sites, just needed a definite answer.
