Because we're classed a medical facility, we're still open and treating patients. We have all the PPE and procedures in place so it's a very safe place to be.

That's good news. I'm now in tier 4 and have a dentist appointment on 4th Jan for either 2 fillings or a filling and root canal. As much as I'd like it to be cancelled I also want it done. I figured it would be one of the safer places @TeaAndBisquits, thanks for the reassurance.

I recently had some dental work done. It wasn’t urgent, but it was slightly complicated and needed a few appointments. I was worried that we would get though half the procedure and then we would go into full lockdown, so I did ask the dentist about this. He said that the problems initially were lack of PPE. Now that they were all sorted out even if we went from tier 2 to a lockdown they should still be ok. Anyway I just went for it. And now all complete yay! I think the dentists will all be quite busy when things go back to normal, so I think best just to get things done if you can.
Best of luck all!

I've had to see a private dentist as I'm still waiting to hear from my NHS one despite their website saying they are seeing patients. Whether or not I could see them privately I don't know but I wouldn't do that on principle.

Thank you for this.
