I'm Scottish and perhaps strangely I have no strong views on independence. I see pros and cons.
Absolutely dismayed at brexit though and even more so I hate Tory policies. People should actually look into their 'welfare reform' more and see just how low an amount some are expected to survive on on universal credit. It's disgusting. I hate everything they stand for.
I do quite like Nicola Sturgeon. Whilst I'm not happy with their record on education and some of their policies such as minimum unit pricing, I do think Nicola and the SNP are genuine in caring about the Scottish people. Really, really cannot say the same for Boris and co!! They care about nothing but grandstanding and lining their friends pockets.
By the way, about the drug deaths thing - Glasgow has been trying to set up supervised consumption rooms but this has been denied at every turn by the UK government.
The Govanhill issue. I worked in a shop in Govanhill up until this year. If you want to see what almost third world living conditions (not healthcare etc but living conditions) look like in the UK, look into Govanhill. It will horrify you. The rubbish and human waste piling up in gardens, closes (stairways), streets is truly shocking. I've also seen children wearing slippers no shoes outside quite often, and I've seen pimping going on, quite a lot of theft in the area. That Alex guy who does the videos he seems to be a racist though. Yes it's Nicola Sturgeon constituency and yes they need to do something about it. 99.999% of Scotland is nothing like that though!!
