Tbh it’s not them

It’s the crap situation we are all suffering in

Belepheron · 19/12/2020 16:32

Education and health care are essential. Buffets are not. Ffs.

BarbaraofSeville · 19/12/2020 16:32

Sounds like the northern tier 3s are staying as such, listening to Chris Whitty right now as we don't have the new variant problem.

Wow. Not 5 days, 1 day : Christmas day only!
Tier 4 not at all...

Maze76 · 19/12/2020 16:32

Why are people doubting the transmission rate?

cardibach · 19/12/2020 16:32

@cologne4711

Only mixing on Christmas Day seems a bit ridiculous. So if you live close to relatives you can see them but if you don't you can't? I don't think the virus knows or cares how close you live to people.

Can we have a definition of "south east" please Boris?

It stops people travelling between areas. Thought that was pretty obvious, since they asked for that...
Lougle · 19/12/2020 16:32

It sounds like they're confirming that NE isn't going into tier 4 by what Chris Whitty is saying.

snowballer · 19/12/2020 16:32

@Unsure33

So I don’t see bumble

I see it’s changed

New information

We have to act

Information that was available last week when Johnson jeeringly accused Starr of wanting to "cancel Christmas". Bumbling
RichardMarxisinnocent · 19/12/2020 16:32

@Lurkingforawhile

We were in tier two yesterday, now in tier four tomorrow. So gutted. Our rates are around the national average so it's a bit of a shock. Doesn't change our Xmas plans but going to miss swimming etc
Really? I though he said it was tier 3 areas in London and the south east moving to tier 4? He didn't mention any tier 2 areas changing.
NoGoodPunsLeft · 19/12/2020 16:33

@FatGirlShrinking

Do we know how easy, east is?

I'm East Midlands and tier 3 so wondering if we'll be caught up in tier 4 or not???

Me too but I dont think we are included.

Ikea was open for click & collect only in the last lock down and B&Q were open.

Dahlietta · 19/12/2020 16:33

I'm pretty sure he said, "London and the South East, the areas that are currently in tier 3, will move up to tier 4".
I thought it was clear! Unless I got it wrong, in which case it clearly wasn't...

AcornAutumn · 19/12/2020 16:33

Re Eid

They didn’t announce in time to sort legislation but they have got time to change it this time.

I’m fearing announcements about public transport...

Tyranttoddler · 19/12/2020 16:33

Ah my sister lives alone in London and was due to come to us. She's seen no one since March. It's such a small thing but I feel so rubbish for her.

NoGoodPunsLeft · 19/12/2020 16:34

@RememberSelfCompassion

Gosh so it increased rapidly in september. I wonder what change happened in September that could have led to lots of spreading 🤔.
It actually started before schools went back
DecemberDiana · 19/12/2020 16:34

East of England is an area. It's not the northeast.

Beautifulbonnie · 19/12/2020 16:34

So from my understanding any tier 3 will be going into tier 4. No travel through any tiers. And only meet on Xmas day.

Brieminewine · 19/12/2020 16:34

@Florelei

Boris said the east of England tier 3 areas will be i tier 4. We really need some clarity as to whether this includes the NE.
He said south east so doubt north east will be included!
TheChippendenSpook · 19/12/2020 16:34

My mum has been diagnosed with cancer and been through treatment since I last saw her Sad

MarshaBradyo · 19/12/2020 16:35

@BonnieDundee

So a buffet for 16 people will spread it but schools full of children won't? Patients in hospitals wont spread.it? Patients being discharged to care homes dont spread it.but heaven forbid that somebody have a buffet for.boxing day.
Come on
AcornAutumn · 19/12/2020 16:35

@Maze76

Why are people doubting the transmission rate?
Is that a serious question! Did you believe in weapons of mass destruction ready in 45 mins?

I think because some areas went from 2 to 3 today, so now they're going into 4 tomorrow.

Belepheron · 19/12/2020 16:35

Tier 4 is only meet one other family for Xmas day, no?
