Oh for fuck's sake. This is EXACTLY why it's spread, as people don't seem to understand virus transmission. A bloody BUFFET??? For 16 people?

The whole thing of "just because you CAN mix over Christmas doesn't mean you SHOULD" applies to people exactly like you. It should have been spelled out to people that don't seem to think that plans for a buffet was a terrible idea.

When they cancelled Eid for many families they didn't actually wrote legislation that came into effect until a few days later.

We were in tier two yesterday, now in tier four tomorrow. So gutted. Our rates are around the national average so it's a bit of a shock. Doesn't change our Xmas plans but going to miss swimming etc

@CatholicKidston that's usual for most hospitals all year around before Covid, I was treating patients in the back of Ambulances going back as long as I can rememberer.

Think in the North East we are still Tier 3. He didnt mention the North specifically at all.

Boris said the east of England tier 3 areas will be i tier 4. We really need some clarity as to whether this includes the NE.

Surely they can, as said they’re tier 1 - and tier 1 you are allowed people in your house aren’t you?

So a buffet for 16 people will spread it but schools full of children won't? Patients in hospitals wont spread.it? Patients being discharged to care homes dont spread it.but heaven forbid that somebody have a buffet for.boxing day.
