Would you get a test based on this?

DS sent home from school yesterday to self-isolate. His last contact with positive case was on Tuesday. DS is fit and well with no symptoms.

Yesterday and this morning I have had a constant headache that painkillers haven’t touched and an intermittent itchy and dry throat that could be allergy driven rather than a sore throat. Also feel a bit lacking in energy.

I wouldn't no, because you'd have to lie to get a test as I understand it, unless you've got a temperature, cough or change in taste or smell. Presumably if DS is isolating it doesn't make lots of difference if you decide to isolate with him anyway?
