Do I need to self isolate?

I don’t think I do in these circumstances but I’d appreciate advice please.

I’ve been in close contact for a prolonged period of time with someone who lives with someone who has today tested positive.

My contact has no symptoms.

Thanks in advance

Not officially no but I’d be really careful who you see. If the person you had contact with starts with symptoms or tests positive then yes you will need to isolate

Legally, no. I'd avoid any unnecessary contact with people though.

Oh don’t worry, I don’t really go anywhere anyway. I WFH and get shopping delivered.

I just wanted to know if I could walk the dog (we live in a country village and I drive to an isolated walk where I hardly ever see anyone and there’s plenty of space to keep away from people). I might just wear my mask as well.
