Hubby just had his test. It says up to 72 hours for results but I'd like to know how long you actually waited.

We are in wales

I had a test 9am on the Friday. Result 11:30pm on the Saturday

@tootyfruitypickle, we're lucky we had 'mild' cases so we've more or less recovered now, thanks Smile. The headache I has was really intense and a week of fatigue, couldn't really do much tbh. However reading on here it seems everyone's experience is slightly different. Just impossible to tell (without testing of course) 🤷‍♀️. Lately the people I know who have tested positive didn't have any of the 3 main symptoms, mainly intense headaches and cold/flu or gastric symptoms.

Gertie75 · 18/12/2020 23:17

I posted my test on Tuesday morning and received the results in the early hours of Thursday.

DulcetMoans · 18/12/2020 23:26

Tested 9am Monday, results 6am Tuesday.

Noti23 · 18/12/2020 23:29

From South Wales. Covid test late Wednesday evening and received the results 8am Friday morning.

Thanks so much ladies.

Looking at about a day and a half seems a good guess!

About 55 hours

tootyfruitypickle · 19/12/2020 08:57

Seems like not much difference in waiting times now between home and drive in. Zoe asked me to get a test so will see what I can get this evening, only tests available are a good hour away cross country and I’m not feeling well enough to drive that far .

LillyBugg · 19/12/2020 08:59

I tested my son at a drive thru on Thursday at 1pm. Still waiting. But I'm in Kent where about a bazillion people have covid so 🤷🏻‍♀️

Cowmilk · 19/12/2020 09:23

In my London borough it was around 20hr (last week) and my neighbouring borough it was 56hr (Monday) for dsis.

Postal test tracker showing“delivered” by Royal Mail at 9pm on Weds. Still waiting... South East region.

Iminaglasscaseofemotion · 19/12/2020 10:51

Posted ds's at 3.30 on a Tuesday, got the results at about 3 on the Wednesday.

Notashandyta · 19/12/2020 12:42

Such a mixed bag of how long it takes.

Been over 24 hours now which isnt long, but we really want to know one way or another as we have so much to do. Self employed and already lost work today as it is.

Test Thursday 10th, results Sunday 13th. SE England

dameofdilemma · 21/12/2020 14:59

Don't rely on Royal Mail in parts of South London for postal tests.
There is piles of lost and undelivered post, including tests. RM have no tracking info and have closed their phone lines.
Try contacting them via Twitter.

People have given up trying to get tests via post and if they can't get to a test centre within reasonable distance (many don't drive) they simply won't test.
No wonder parts of the country are in Tier 4 without a viable postal system.

PrincessConsuela12 · 23/12/2020 17:36

We had our test at a drive through site on Sunday at 11.30 & still not had our results back yet. We live in the SE.
