NHS app says 5 days isolation

So son has had message through the app to isolate for 5 days.

When did 5 days come into this ?

Literally lost track of all this.

He's only been back from university a week where he silent half the first term in isolation or lockdown !

Essentially 5 days ago he came into contact with someone who has now tested positive

So 10 days isolation, minus the 5 that have passed, means 5 more to isolate

It means that his contact with the person he’s been in contact with who has tested positive must have been five days ago. So he’s already five days into the 10 day isolation period.
