risk from flat neighbours

Hi guys. I've been isolating pretty well pre seeing family at Xmas. Now thinking about risk I've been exposed to from either walking through communal stairs wearing mask (nobody else does, thankfully I've not met anyone recently), or air circulating from there into my flat. Eg the other day I could smell somebody's perfume in my hall. Any thoughts on this risk? Seems low and I'm sure many have taken more but that's no consolation if your mum dies.

I think the risk from all these activities would be quite minimal.

I would think it’s pretty low risk but that there is a risk. Particularly because people are more likely to be relaxed with hygiene around their home. We actually think this is how my mum caught covid.

I don't know what the risk would be, but I wouldn't walk through a communal indoor area anywhere without wearing a mask. Are there any windows in the communal area that could be opened to change the air?

Europilgrim · 16/12/2020 19:33

We have all the windows open in the communal spaces and I've been avoiding the lift but I think the risk is very low.

No windows unfortunately. Am surprised nobody is wearing a mask. I'm on top floor, so no less traffic past my door at least.
