Friday night I suddenly got very very shivery and achey and just felt terrible so went to bed.

Woke at 1.30 with diarrhoea, same every couple of hours then was sick too. Slept on and off all day Saturday, felt shivery and hot but the thermometer said my temp was 36.2. Also had a terrible terrible headache and felt myself rambling as if I was delirious - probably dehydrated. My lips were so dry they were bleeding over the pillowcase.

Saturday night was sick again as a result of brushing my teeth. Another restless hot night. Sunday was exactly the same as Saturday. Yesterday was the same in the morning but better in the afternoon but so very exhausted. I managed a shower but it used all my energy.

Had a lie down yesterday evening and couldn't get to sleep because I couldn't stop coughing and wheezing. (I do have asthma and my ventolin took the wheeze away). DH suggested testing so we ordered me a test.

The cough never returned after that half hour so I started wishing I hadn't wasted a test. But today I still feel so wiped and can't do a thing. Doing anything out of my chair is a huge struggle.

It's probably just a sickness bug but that's something I get so rarely I can't remember how long it takes to get over them - I've only had 1 in the last 20 years and that was 7 years ago, and the actual sickness/diarrhoea part was really only for 8 hours and only a few times, spaced out.

I know I don't really have the symptoms but there seem to be so many variations on it now...

Your symptoms sound similar to mine. My test was positive. I also had D&V that came and went.
