Any recognise these symptoms?

Tight chest - mild but wheezy
Feeling that you have to cough up loose phlegm...but there’s no loose phlegm, it’s just a rattling sensation.
Terrible ache across the shoulders and down arms.
Feeling tired, no appetite.
Sharp headache on and off.

I do not have a temperature.
Cough is because I’m trying to clear lungs.
I still have my sense of smell and taste, but things taste ‘wrong’. Metallic like.

Any one familiar? I don’t want to bother with an unnecessary test without appropriate symptoms.

Many thanks

@chunkyfunk

Thank you. I didn’t want to waste anyone’s time and whilst I don’t feel ‘well’, I’ve had worse colds, so I feel it’s probably not Covid. However, as you say, may be sensible to check.

You have pretty much just described textbook symptoms of a mild COVID infection. Test.

IndoorLiving · 15/12/2020 16:10

You have 2 of the main symptoms so you have to test. And the whole household has to isolate until you get the result

WhyNotMeThough · 15/12/2020 16:11

Yes, definitely get tested.

hardtimeuphere · 15/12/2020 16:12

I would test. I had a metallic taste in mouth a couple of weeks back and everything tasted and smelt strange. I tested and was negative. I'm still glad I tested though because it was one of the main symptoms and me and DH isolated till results which came really quick. You have two of symptoms so I definitely recommend testing.

H1978 · 15/12/2020 17:07

Mine were just that, get tested.

trader21c · 15/12/2020 17:08

Do test good luck

DBML · 15/12/2020 17:44

Thanks all. I’m going to book a test. I haven’t been out since feeling unwell and no intentions of going out now until results are back.
Thanks again for your advice.
