Time self-isolating

My husband had a message from the COVID app yesterday telling him to isolate for 13 days and I've had one today saying 12 days.

Am I right in thinking this actually means 10 and 9 days based on the new government guidance?

Hoping we may both be in the clear by the end of Christmas Eve...

Yep, you'll be in the clear after 10/9 days. I found this on BBC news (article from the weekend) -

^The NHS app in England will not update its 14-day counter until next Thursday.

Because there will be a time-lag before it updates, anyone who has been advised to isolate by the app can leave isolation if their countdown timer hits three days between Monday and Thursday.^

Thanks very much! Good news.
