Day 8 after testing positive

Hi - as the title says, I am currently on Day 8 after testing positive. Feeling ok after a pretty bad few days.

I'd like to think I'm over the worst of it now.
Anyone else feel ok and continued to be ok after 8 days??

I would say you're over the worst now if you're feeling better not worse. I know it can change but I think that's only now an again. Hope you're 100% again soon xx

Yes - I didn't feel any worse in the second week (but had it extremely mildly anyway). I would warn you that, despite having basically had an intermittent sore throat, slight fatigue, some headaches and a cough that lasted for two hours, the time after isolation was actually worse - I then had an extremely achey couple of days, and a month on am only just getting back to usual levels of energy (I've not been out for the count, but definitely felt under the weather, not wanted to go for walks, etc). So just go very easy on yourself even if this week goes OK, OP!

Thank you both.

Today is the first time I have woken up and felt like I am able to do something .
I have heard that some of the effects can last some time - fingers crossed 🤞 x

🤞🤞🤞 for you, OP. Just to reassure you that even if you do feel ropey for a while, it should start to feel better (our energy has come back just as we've had to go back into isolation due to a DC developing a cough, waiting for presumably negative test results 🤣)

@JeanMichelBisquiat
Thank you! I have managed to put a load of washing in the machine and run the hoover around. Am now sat on the sofa exhausted lol
Poor you - fingers crossed that the results come back negative 🤞

@tiktokmylife don't hoover!!! Absolute bare minimum, seriously. Take it very, very easy. Washing prob can't be avoided, but crunchy floor is OK - take it from Dr Bisquiat Grin

Thanks - am sure it will be back soon, and at least it's pretty much guaranteed to be negative!

tiktokmylife · 15/12/2020 14:14

@JeanMichelBisquiat
I won't be making that mistake again let me tell you Grin
I am still on the sofa doing absolutely nothing lol

That's the spirit! Easy does it.

I’m very jealous of you covid-ers able to sit & do nothing. I’m on day 10 & feel ropey still but I’ve slept my 10 days with a non sleeping 8 month old & a climbing the wall 3 year old. I’ve no idea what a rest feels like until 6pm when Daddy finishes work (he WFH). 😭

MoirasRoses · 15/12/2020 14:56

*spent my 10 days

tiktokmylife · 15/12/2020 15:18

I have a 10 year old who also has covid and DP has it quite badly also - plus I'm wfh.

My difficulties may be different to yours, but nonetheless still difficult
Hope you after better soon Flowers x

@MoirasRoses I and my husband both continued to work throughout (apart from a sick day each) and supervised home schooling. If I don't work I don't get paid. It's not that people are sitting on their arses doing nothing - I'm just recommending being kind to yourself and doing as little as possible. Really sorry, it's tough with little ones - hope you feel better soon Flowers
