Symptoms in children

What symptoms did you children re testing for COVID-19? I'm unsure wether to get 5yo dd tested. She woke up yesterday with a highish temp(37.8) and complaining of a headache and tummy ache. Was fine all day just looked flushed and still had a temp of around 37. Today is absolutely fine.
Really don't want to put anyone at risk but she barely had a temp and it went so quickly? It's at least a 60min round trip to get her tested and I'd have to take all 3dc with me.
I'm not sure what to do!

Thank you

A temperature of 37.7 or above should trigger a COVID test and isolation for the whole household until a negative test is returned. Sorry but the guidance is clear.

Apply for a postal test?

You need to get her tested though. Fever, headache and tummy ache are all covid symptoms in children.

Thanks for the reply's - you're right , DH was acting like I'm being a bit f a hypochondriac, but it is clear. It just makes you doubt yourself when they are suddenly well again! She's got tummy ache again and feels sick, so I've ordered a postal test to save taking her on a car journey. Fingers crossed will be negative!
