Carrying on from the old Ocado thread. www.mumsnet.com/Talk/coronavirus/a4045676-Ocado-tips-hacks-Toblerone-and-Christmas?msgid=102560793#102560793

I have been contributing, just changed my name to prevent being outed over something!

I used my £5 on a £7 bottle of micellar water, which I use anyway. Happy days.

StanfordPines · 01/02/2021 22:00

Mine says when you spend £25 too but that doesn’t seem to matter.

PowerslidePanda · 01/02/2021 22:49

It's not working for me...

Sorry, this voucher isn't valid for any products in your trolley. Check the offer details or see Voucher Terms for more info.

Tried with a cheese slicer and with some kids socks.

Those of you that it's working for - did you happen to have £25 of M&S stuff in your basket if food counted towards it as well?

A quick tot up tells me that the total value of M&S branded products in my trolly is over £25 and the voucher worked for me.
CarryOnPlainHunting · 02/02/2021 07:27

@nordica

Did everyone get the Smart Pass discount on M&S homeware and clothing? I used it on a £6 M&S towel, making it just £1 after the £5 discount. Smile

I also got a £5 voucher for Fetch after the cat litter I buy was out of stock and I declined their offer to re-book that delivery.

Yes, yesterday but a minimum spend of £25 on non-food M&S products
CarryOnPlainHunting · 02/02/2021 07:30

I’ve moaned a lot about Ocado on this thread but have found it to be much better since Christmas

We still have to supplement with a trip to Waitrose to buy all the stuff Ocado doesn’t stock, but we’ve got into a routine with that.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 02/02/2021 07:34

Mine was a min spend of £40. Ocado really hate me.

PursuingProxemicExactitude · 02/02/2021 07:48

Yes ... They've been better since the new year. (Though lots of things are still out of stock.) Only one, perfectly reasonable sub in my weekend delivery. And so far they've followed my delivery requests.

Have seen nothing of any M&S voucher. But I'm never likely to have much M&S produce in my trolley anyway, so it's no loss.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 02/02/2021 08:22

The voucher didn’t work for me.

GaryUnicorn · 02/02/2021 09:30

With the voucher, you have to click on the link on the email, and it will take you to selected products you can use it on. I just opened Ocado as normal, added a hand towel and got the message, like others above

Sorry, this voucher isn't valid for any products in your trolley. Check the offer details or see Voucher Terms for more info.

However, I went through the email link, selected a towel, selected hand towel size from the drop down option, and the voucher worked.

That worked! Thank you!! Thank you @nordica and @StanfordPines too!

Worked for me as well when clicking from the email - many thanks for the tip!

Cactusowl · 02/02/2021 12:37

Anyone had problems with payment this week?
I had an order on Friday, money was taken out on Sunday but there is still a pending payment showing on my bank account of the same amount.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 02/02/2021 13:17

Thanks Gary I’ll try again.

Fuss · 02/02/2021 13:38

No voucher for me. Shocker.

bruffin · 03/02/2021 18:25

Ive been shortchanged

my Ocado smoked back rasher bacon 10 pack only had 6 rashers. Very thick rashers but only 6

Looked on Ocado site and there are loads of reviews about it, seems like it has been going on a few weeks

doireallyneedaname · 03/02/2021 18:51

My voucher is also minimum spend of £40. Cheeky sods, I’ve spent a fortune with them.

I had similar. We never buy bacon but I needed it for a recipe. Advertised as 14 rashers. Pack arrives and it is 7 thick cut rashers, not 14. Clearly the weight was the same. 2nd misadvertised product in a month so I gently complained and was very clear it was for feedback only. The reply stated it was clearly advertised as being 7 lots of 2. Well that left me really puzzled - I had a pack of 7 layers. Then I looked at the picture on the website. It was 2 per layer (ie half the pack size) times 7 (so 14). Mine only seemed to be 1 rasher per layer. Weight was the same, but it did leave me puzzled for ages, and luckily it didnt matter for my recipe.
TheSparkleJar · 04/02/2021 15:41

I agree about the bread dates. Warburton's is the worst, it always arrived half stale, I suppose it degenerates faster because of the wax paper. When I order bread from Ocado I get thick sliced, because a medium loaf will go off before we can use it. In all my time with Ocado I have only once got a really fresh loaf of bread, whereas with my local supermarket I get that 8/9 times out of 10. It's one of the things I'm looking forward to going out and buying again once all of this is over.

Fuss · 04/02/2021 15:45

I always buy Jacksons Yorkshire Champion, we don't eat a huge amount of bread and it's the only white loaf I've found that can last 5 days and still be soft.

EuroTrashed · 05/02/2021 08:53

Has anyone else notice the creative pricing on Ocado at the moment? £2.09 for a bog standard bag of pasta??? Do they think we are fools? (No voucher at all, humph)

Size 4 nappies were £4 a couple of weeks ago - now they're on a 2 for £8 "offer" - or £4.50 for a single pack!
IsThisNameTaken · 05/02/2021 10:22

Prices do seem a bit hit and miss - presume it's since the 'price promise' was removed they can pretty much do what they want.

One sub today - a large pack of 80 sachets of fish flavour cat fodd subbed with one 12 pack of poultry flavour - hope the cats aren't hungry this week!

herecomesthsun · 05/02/2021 11:14

I do feel this is the problem of someone who has been in many ways rather lucky, but my Waitrose order has been un-amendable because of a computer problem at their end, and we are a bit dependent on on-line shopping because of shielding.

They have been jolly nice about it but it is still a problem, we need to make quite a lot of changes.

IdesMarchof · 05/02/2021 18:15

We’ve decided to go into hello fresh etc for some of our weekly meals. Will report back!
