Clarification on self isolating

I've tried to see if there is already a thread on this but I can't see one. I also can't find the answer by looking online either.
My husband and I tested positive after taking a test on Tuesday 8th. My older daughter started showing symptoms the following day so had a test on Thursday 10th which has also come back positive. I've now had a text message saying I need to self isolate until 22nd December presumably because of our contact with her.
Firstly, does the fact she caught it from us mean we still have to isolate beyond our own isolation period? And secondly, surely we only need to self isolate for 10 days from when she showed her symptoms (wed 9th) so therefore the new rules mean it should only be until 19th.
Can anyone help?
Thanks x

You all just do your 10 day individual isolation periods.

The drop from 14 days to 10 days isolation for contacts doesn't start until Monday so the dates wouldn't show the updated details until after that

BTW with the drop from 14 to 10 days it happened in Wales on Wednesday - we had a phone call on Thursday to say DSs self isolation now ends midnight tonight instead of Wednesday night, yours will change after Monday
