School and isolation

I posted before because my sons class was told to self isolate (second time in a month 😤) and as a single parent I had no one else to do the school run for 2 weeks so I had to keep all 3 of my children at home. I’ve just heard that the rules of isolation have changed and it’s only 10 days now, which would be up on Sunday. I haven’t heard anything from my sons school so I assume they aren’t taking them back but I wonder if anyone knows if I Would be ok to call the school on Monday and say my other 2 will return and my son can walk with me to the school to drop them now his isolation is up. Is that ok do you think?

I’d personally leave them home and avoid a third period of isolating before Christmas so that they can go outside during the holidays rather than a further period of not being able to go out past the garden.

Oh that’s true but there haven’t been any cases of isolation in both of their classes only my sons class twice 😣 tbh I’m desperate for a break as I have 4 children in total and we’ve all been locked up for basically 4 weeks back to back (he was at school for 3 days before he was told to isolate again) I don’t know if it’s going to be worth the risk then

The DfE haven’t updated their schools guidance as to whether it should be 14 days or 10. Making the change after schools closed on Friday evening has caused chaos, tbh, but entirely usual for how the govt operates.
