Outdoor carol singing

My understanding is that it is fine to arrange some carol singing outside as long as you are observing social distancing rules. However, I can't help feeling that this is unwise as singing was responsible for spreading Covid significantly in some communities. What do you all think?

I think it's fine. I'm just a internet random, though, same as you OP.

That's if you're in tier 1. Check gov website for local guidelines - they have a section on carol singing

If the BLM protests didn't up numbers as people shouted them out for potentially doing, I'm sure a bit of outdoor singing will be fine.

Tier 2 and our church is holding an outdoor carol service, it is ticketed to limit numbers and you have to stand with your family group/bubble. I think it’s fine, my church is very careful to stick to the rules.

We did some last week in a cul-de-sac, spread out along the street mainly in households. No problem.
