What do the anti-vax conspiracy theorists think will happen?

I'm not talking about those who are concerned the vaccination hasn't been around long enough, what do the conspiracy theorists think will happen if people have the vaccine?

OP posts:

@Freyaismyname

You won't be able to travel, use the NHS, do certain work, socialise in places you wish

People are requesting Parliament to discuss this (it's scheduled for 14th december)

cardibach · 11/12/2020 21:16

@Freyaismyname

They say the vaccine won't be forced up on us, but will stop us living normal lives if we refuse! Watch this space ;) You won't be able to travel, use the NHS, do certain work, socialise in places you wish. Give it a couple of years and this will be done! New world order is in full swing and people call it a conspiracy Hmm It isn't madness if you look deeper.
You know there are some countries which require certain vaccines before you go there now? And that in America kids have to be vaccinated to attend state schools? That’s not forcing the vaccine in you, it’s just making it clear what the consequences of choosing not to vaccinate are. Forced is where they hold you down to inject or imprison you if you refuse.

Still that's 'effective coersion' and many don't agree with it. Specially for new vaccines under emergency approval and for which it's not even known whether they stop transmission

sorenipples · 11/12/2020 22:50

The one I have heard is that the vaccine is a placebo , covid isn't that serious (ie not dissimilar fatility to a bad flu,) and this is a way for governments to return to normal and save face.

2Kidsinatrenchcoat · 11/12/2020 23:06

My ex thinks the vaccine will contain a microchip that will embed in our brains and be used to control us. He thought it would be a good idea to tell 8yo DS this as if it was a fact. Hmm

confuseddotcom090 · 11/12/2020 23:18

I don't think COVID is dissimilar to a bad flu. But we should protect the vulnerable with vaccines from bad flu. And pneumococcal infections. And other viruses like RSV once vaccines are available.

The theory I have heard is that bill gates is trying to depopulate the world though vaccines. It is true bill gates wants to reduce population (I heard him give a rather scary speech which said as much, and there were too many people and they (the stupid ones I think he meant) had no future etc etc), and it's true that he funds vaccines. Not so sure the 2 are linked. Even he is not that bad.

The way to reduce population is to educate women anyway. It's ethical and proven.

Ethelfleda · 11/12/2020 23:39

@Angrymum22

I have been reliably informed that the vaccine only works in intelligent people.
We’re fucked then.
happinessischocolate · 11/12/2020 23:45

But the reason for the increasing population is that people are living longer, I'm pretty sure the birthrate is going down.

There's a Ted talk on it, I watched it about a year ago, people aren't dying quick enough 🤷‍♀️

happinessischocolate · 11/12/2020 23:48

@ThreeFeetTall

If they are going for depopulation/infertility then why vax the over 50s??
Indeed, and also surely that would leave all the compliant people infertile, so only the anti vaxers would carry on having children, might cause a bit of a problem for the government in a few years 🤷‍♀️
babba2014 · 11/12/2020 23:59

I think instead of using labels, try go to the source and then you don't have to believe everything either. One person to check is Robert Kennedy Junior. He is on Instagram and also has a website children's health defence. I would read up and look up what him and his team say. They've also filed several lawsuits.
The other is The Highwire by Del Bigtree. He doesn't go into conspiracy and looks more factually at things.
These are two of the sources higher up. No Q stuff.

Aside from how mental this is

No it isn’t it’s an established practice. You need some vaccinations for travel to certain countries. In some children have to be vaccinated to attend school. You are free to choose. Society is free to choose that it doesn’t really want to mix with you if you deliberately resist helping us end this pandemic.

trulydelicious · 12/12/2020 09:27

@cardibach

At present it's not known whether vaccinated will still transmit the virus, that's what I'm saying

trulydelicious · 12/12/2020 09:35

@cardibach

So it's too early to say, but some people are eager to get dicatorial and start discriminating against those who are more cautious and would like more certainties before making a decision one way or the other

A lot of these conspiracy theories originate from the US where there is a significant interest in biblical end times literature.

For example, the conspiracy about the vaccine being used to control the populations freedoms stems from the biblical Book of Revelation (AD 81-96) where it states:

'It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of its name.'

Is this serious Shock, they are some of the most unreliable sources on the internet along with Whale and Mercola

I knew Russian troll accounts were very active (and surprisingly persuasive)

But I hadn't realised that apocalyptic fundamentalist cults were also getting stuck in. But at least they are less subtle about it - I think people would more readily recognise this sledgehammer, compared to the faux 'reasonable, only asking, bit worried' hallmarks of those who have been influenced by the Russian trolls

jibberjabb · 12/12/2020 10:51

I'm not a anti vaxxer or some conspiracy theorist as I've been strict with my lo's immunisation calendar and ensured he gets all of them but I am probably going to be the last one getting the covid vaccine anyway due to my age and health so that's okay for me to be last. I do have concerns yes but I do think there's enough time to look through it by the time it's my turn. I've heard all sorts on social media about anti vaccine from inserting chips, to inserting 5g 🧐 to growing 5 legs and changing our DNA so we become more obedient. My only concern is if it would have any long term effects and and any association to infertility. By the time it's my go to have the vaccine, I will probably be pregnant again and then breastfeeding so I'm very very last in the queue so I'm not really thinking about it right now.

Blue565 · 13/12/2020 09:45

I have no idea because I don't tend to like speaking to people with an IQ lower than 5

bathsh3ba · 13/12/2020 10:33

The thing is we only have limited available choices:

  1. Take a chance on the vaccination
  2. Lockdown for at least another year or so
  3. Let the virus do its thing

Of the available options, none of which are ideal or risk-free, 1 sounds safest to me.

That said, I am quite happy to be back of the queue for it.

AcornAutumn · 13/12/2020 11:53

Gigheimer thank you

I’ve said similar on here - definitely don’t want cash free, social credit etc and worried by it.

But usually I get called stupid by someone who doesn’t know what kind of tech we already have in use.

TrufflyPig · 13/12/2020 12:08

I doubt you'll get many on here admitting to being hard core anti-vaxxers.

If you want to know what they think though try going on the 'Arnica, promoting natural immunity' group on Facebook (you have to go via a search engine, thankfully FB has made it harder to search for). Some truly mental stuff on there.

Gigheimer · 13/12/2020 13:14

Bill Gates is trying to de populate using vaccines, developing countries often have many children due to low survival rates. Empowerment of women, vaccines to improve survival rates and sex education actually does equal lower birth rates. That’s why western nations have reducing birth rates.

It’s not conspiracy it’s factual, as to the morality of that influence well it’s patriarchal but is it bad? Fuck knows I’m not a bioethics expert!

trulydelicious · 13/12/2020 17:49

Because they are not

TrufflyPig · 13/12/2020 18:34

@trulydelicious

You speak for every single person on MN do you?

Statistically speaking there will be some people on here who don't vaccinate themselves or their kids. I just don't think they will pipe up in this discussion.
