Help me with the isolate rules

I'm stressy because DS had a migraine today - migraines are still fairly new, he's on strong drugs, age 10, always vomits ! School want him out and fast.

Covid is a pain because I can't use my mum to help out which she usually would do. Tier 3 and one of the top ten Covid areas at the moment. No way would I expect anyone to collect DS from school.

So I stick my head in my boss office to say I'm sorry I need to collect my son but I will work from home. She eyerolled. Not once. Not twice but three times.

In the meantime.....

My office colleague gets a phone call from hubby at 11.00 - he has symptoms. He's gone to get a test. He delivers to hospitals. He has no smell. No brainer here.
So she's worked the whole day now before taking 14 days isolation and I'm thanking heaven I'm now going home for DS.

Except I was with her yesterday. In a small ish office. Before that Thursday.

Aside from my bitch boss eye roll, I wouldn't go in- I would do like the Government as and work from home.

Except for the eye roll

Help

You are not a contact of anyone who has tested positive (or even had Covid symptoms) and therefore should be attending work as expected.

Except she did have symptoms (cough, runny nose) and said it was because she cried a lot the day before (a pet died)

I'm going to get a track and trace in around 5 days aren't I ?

She had a cough and remained at work?

Well, she shouldn't have but you still don't need to isolate yet. The eye rolling is a separate issue

myhobbyisouting · 08/12/2020 19:19

Also, if you can work from home you should as you're in a tier 3 area

midnightstar66 · 08/12/2020 19:19

You only need to isolate if she tests and gets a positive result

Racoonworld · 08/12/2020 20:23

You don’t need to isolate yet. If your work wants you in you need to go in.

giveoverwithyoureyeroll · 08/12/2020 20:30

I can work from home although I have a small project to finish

I suppose I better get in and finish it before she tests positive.

Agree the eye roll is different but if it weren't for the eye roll, I would invoke SHOULD Work at home if you can. Which I can. Except for her snotty eye roll.
