Just booked my test

After having what I thought was a streaming cold the last 2 days I’ve woken up with a horrible cough and feel like my chest is on fire Sad

I’m 22 weeks pregnant and so worried, I also live with my daughter who is in the shielding category.

Fuck!

Really hoping this is just a shitty cold.

Hello OP. Just here to offer a handhold.

That does sound a worry, but there are plenty of regular bugs around at this time of year, so fingers crossed it's just a nasty cold. Either way baby is well protected in there.

Do you have another adult with you who can look after DD? Sounds like it might be worth trying to keep your distance if possible, even if it is just a regular bug, it sounds like you could do with the rest.

I hope 111 get back to you soon and are able to offer some reassurance. Have you got paracetamol you can dose up on in the meantime?

Spoke to the doctor and going to urgent care at 9.
Thankfully I have my husband to look after our toddler and my daughter is old enough to look after herself.

Managed a couple hours sleep but feeling terrible.

Been seen at urgent care and now at maternity as my heart rate and breathing are a concern.

It’s not covid. Just got my results, was quick! Only swabbed around 10.30.
