@unchienandalusia

What 'misinformation' are you specifically referring to?

Lordamighty · 06/12/2020 19:49

The Russian troll factory has been putting out anti vax information for years. Apparently they also take a pro vax stance on the same threads. Sewing discord is the aim.

*Sowing not sewing

I've no doubt they are using SM to stir up all kinds of problems, just like they supported The Trump clandestinely. Their own economy is shite, and they want more than anything to see the West go to pot. Putin is an ex head of the secret service, so this is just up his street.

Russian trolls have been active for years. They post various messages that will discredit initiatives from the Uk and other European countries. I really am not a conspiracy theorist but various internet security monitoring have been tracking this trend for years. Post Cold War, trying to distabilise public opinion.

They discredit Covid data, if the virus really exist, now they are doing the same with the safety of the vaccine. The worst thing is that we may all be victim of it as some point, either in the way they influence our votes, or our perception of the safety of the virus. And it’s working.

Sowing discord is their game.
