I thought the aspect of the article where she was being critical of the school / existing education was really weird and detracted from the main point (ECV parents and their kids being thrown under the bus).

I suspect it's because of the atmosphere of threats and fines that this country has - she's trying to overcompensate and show that she can manage their education at home and do a better job - because she's scared of a system that has already treated her like shit. But of course that may or may not be true - and may well NOT be true for many ECV but what choice do they have but to deregister or hope they don't die when their kids bring covid home? Hardly ideal.
