Test results

Did a drive in test the other day with 3 other members of my household. This AM DD has got her results (negative) but dh, ds and I haven't got ours back yet.

Do they not usually all come back at once? That's my experience when I've done them before with DH.

Have you waited more than 48 hours? Phone the number on your test card if so?

Formicamouse · 04/12/2020 06:26

No one picks up. I just want to know if others who have gone as a group have got theirs separately or all at the same time

We had ours separately, as much as 8 hrs apart I think. Also SIL had hers more than 24hrs after everyone else even though they went together.

Formicamouse · 04/12/2020 06:37

OK hopefully ours will still come through at some point then!!

DD and I tested at 10am on Tuesday morning. Apparently results don't or come back at the same time but mine is ridiculous. DD's were back at 6am Wednesday but mine still aren't back. I called the number yesterday morning and all they could do was confirm it had been registered. They can't look in to it until Monday. So in the mean time we are all either stuck at home missing my essential job role and dc missing school needlessly if negative or there are 3 classes in school for several days mixing that should not be if I am positive. Very frustrating!

Yes thats my worry too. Really annoying.

Seems they are processing children's separately as everyone I know has had the dc come back first. We've sent several dc home from school with symptoms and they are always back in the next day with their negative result. Not sure the logic that they don't rush through the school staff so there is actually someone there to look after them (or indeed the adults regardless as no point dc having neg result if they are still stuck at home waiting for the adults) Meanwhile my team is a member of staff down and we are already short. I think I'll be far less keen to take a test again as a result.

DD can't go to school today anyway as the rest of us still have to isolate and she is only 5.

She'd not be allowed anyway - all household members have to isolate til all test results are back. Dd11 is totally symptom free and has not needed a test - she's climbing the walls. Her birthday was this week and she's not been able to see her friends.

My husband's and my DC's results came back at the same time. One was positive and one negative (just added that as somebody has asked previously whether positive results come through quicker).

midnightstar66 · 05/12/2020 09:49

@Formicamouse have your results come? Mine haven't so we've all been in the house, likely unnecessarily, since Monday afternoon. Getting very frustrated now.

PeachesandCream2020 · 05/12/2020 11:25

Yes we’ve always had the results through within minutes. And within 24 hours every time. We are in a very low case area though in Scotland.

shesellsseashells99 · 05/12/2020 15:46

Had mine Monday and still waiting...6 days! Routine weekly test but can't see what the point is if it's going to take this long. Hope you get your results soon OP xx
