Didn’t register home test online - will I get the result?

Yeah I’m an idiot. I ordered a home test, did it then posted before I registered it online. I thought I just needed the test barcode but it turns out I need to register the Royal Mail barcode first and it’s now in the postbox.
Will I still be able to get the result do you know? Has anyone else been an idiot like me? I obviously have all my details when ordering the test, and still have the test barcode so can hopefully phone up in 6 days, but that’s quite a while to wait.

You should be fine. I had no way of entering the Royal mail bar code as I got mine from my child's school for them. So I had no original email reference either. But I got the results OK as they linked with the barcode and the contact details.

The Royal mail barcode is just for 48hr tracking if u want to check it arrives at the test centre.

Call 119 and ask them to register the barcode (the one that starts AA) if that isn’t done there is nowhere for your results to go. They don’t need to Royal Mail reference.

I’ve managed to find the site to just register the test barcode phew! So hopefully it won’t take too long and will come back negative.

@AHippoNamedBooBooButt reviving a dead chat but could you tell me the site you registered w/o the RM barcode. My wife did the test for our son, but sent it before i got home. TIA
