I've just been reading up a little more and thought this may be of use as I've seen the question asked a few times

To me that says that Covid isn't that much of a risk to younger (under 55) CV people and it was a elderly disease. If ling Covid is such as issue then why are younger people so down the list.

I'm starting to get what anti lock down have been saying. People in care homes aren't having to go to work, shop for themselves or send children to school, but CV people are.

The aim is to take pressure off the hospitals and the best way to do that is to prioritise by age as that is the strongest indication of severe illness. Lets be patient, everyone will get to the front of the queue eventually.

I disagree

The most important point re the list is it cuts out 99% mortality

Well yes, clearly long covid is less of a priority than dying from covid, which is strongly correlated with age. I wouldn’t dispute that.

There has to be an order of priority and you deal with severity of disease first. That doesn’t mean long covid insignificant and should be completely ignored. Other counties such as Germany are still to hoping to vaccinate the 18-50 year olds, they’ll just come later,
